1. About these terms
These terms of use govern your access to and use of the MONERO wallet and related services. By creating an account you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms, together with our privacy policy and AML policy.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not open an account and do not use the service.
2. The service
MONERO provides a custodial crypto wallet: we hold the private keys for your deposit addresses on your behalf, and you instruct us through the app to receive, hold, exchange and send crypto assets, and to withdraw funds to your bank account.
- Custody means we safeguard the keys; you remain the beneficial owner of your balance.
- We do not provide investment advice, and nothing in the service is a recommendation to buy or sell any asset.
3. Eligibility and verification
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. Before using the service you must complete identity verification, and you must keep your account information accurate and up to date.
We may refuse or limit access where required by law, sanctions or our risk policies.
4. Your account and security
You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account. Keep your password and two-factor credentials confidential and tell us immediately at the support center if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may temporarily restrict an account to protect you or other users, for example after a suspected security incident.
5. Deposits, withdrawals and custody
- Crypto deposits are credited after the required number of network confirmations.
- Withdrawals are executed to an address or bank account you specify, after passing security and compliance checks.
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible; we cannot recall funds sent to a wrong address you provided.
- Bank withdrawals depend on banking hours and may be delayed by your bank.
6. Fees
Fees apply to certain operations as published on the fees page. Every fee is shown before you confirm an operation; by confirming, you accept it.
7. Risks of crypto assets
Crypto assets are volatile and their value can fall to zero. Transfers are irreversible, networks can be congested or fail, and legal treatment varies by country.
You use the service at your own risk. Never transact with funds you cannot afford to lose.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use the service for anything unlawful, including money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion or market abuse. We monitor activity as described in the AML policy and may reject, block or report operations.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the service available around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security or legal reasons, and may add, change or remove features with reasonable notice where practicable.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by market movements, blockchain network failures, your own errors, or unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page; material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to our support center. We answer in the language of your account.
