1. Who we are
MONERO operates the MONERO custodial crypto wallet. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it and the rights you have over it. It applies to the website, the app and support channels.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, password hash and account settings.
- Verification data: identity documents and information required by law for customer identification.
- Transaction data: deposits, withdrawals, addresses and bank details you use with the service.
- Technical data: device, browser, IP address and usage logs needed to run and secure the service.
- Support data: conversations you have with our team and your personal agent.
3. How we use your data
We use personal data to operate the wallet, verify your identity, process your operations, meet legal obligations (including AML and sanctions rules), secure the service against fraud and abuse, and to support you.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal bases
We process data to perform the contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in security and service improvement, and — where required — with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share data with
- Service providers that host or operate parts of the service under contract.
- Banks and payment partners needed to execute your bank operations.
- Regulators, law enforcement and courts where the law requires it.
We never share more than necessary for the purpose.
6. Retention
We keep account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and afterwards for the periods required by financial and AML law. When retention ends, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
7. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls and continuous monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we design and audit our controls for the value we protect.
8. Your rights
Depending on your country, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact support to exercise your rights; identity verification applies.
You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. International transfers
Where data is processed outside your country, we use the contractual and technical safeguards required by applicable law.
10. Cookies
The landing site uses only the cookies needed to remember your language and security settings. The app uses the storage required to keep you signed in and protect your session.
